"WE BUILD, WE FIGHT FOR PEACE WITH FREEDOM" Navy Seabee Veterans of America was formed March 5, 1947
Sent: Friday, January 07, 2005 6:20 PM Shipmates, friends, and SEABEE family members, Finally some new content on this official site! Two photos of SEABEES of NMCB-23 performing security and reconstruction assessment missions in one of the "hottest" hot spots in Iraq. These activated reservist SEABEES now rely on their own well-trained and well-armed battalion members for security while determining what reconstruction work can be done in the midst of the ongoing insurgency battles. They now do for themselves what they formerly relied on Marine security details to do for them in the past. Self-reliance and self-protection are exactly what brought the SEABEES into being early in World War II. SEABEES "CAN DO" and they continue to prove it every day! ATWWOSK ! "Stormin' " Click here: http://www.news.navy.mil/local/view_photos.asp?id=95
We should all be proud of our SEABEES active and reserve, who work so hard, and sacrifice so much, under difficult conditions to get the job done!
